Paragliding
A paraglider is the latest evolution of recreational flying. Made of engineered fabric and lines, a paraglider fits in a backpack and is ready to launch in minutes. Harnessing the energy of the sun and the wind, the paraglider becomes a wing with which we can safely soar the sky for hours.
If you've ever had the dream of flight, up with the birds, and free from all your earthly worries, we can make that dream come true quickly and safely with one of our entry level first flight paragliding courses.
An optimized teaching method on the perfect slope to get you paragliding solo immediately on the fastest and safest progression. You will paraglide at low altitude just above the ground, leaving you feeling secure and empowered.
We start with a half day classroom session of paragliding base theory. This enables you to understand paragliding aerodynamics, basic airspace, regulatory bodies, weather, and how to launch, fly and land your paraglider. A written HPAC exam confirms your comprehension of the topics.
We take you out for multiple low altitude flights at the ideal hill for Slope Soaring, as above, to work on and improve your launch and landing skills. Two half day sessions are included to get you comfortable and ready to safely enjoy and engage in your high mountain flights.
Later, you take your first high mountain paragliding solo flight. The flight is carefully supervised by two paragliding flight command instructors via ground-to-air radio. One instructor helps you set up and guides you at the mountain top launch for a beautiful, controlled take off. A second instructor guides you in to an accurate landing in the valley at the landing zone (LZ).
The instructors guide you through a progression of four mountain flights, orchestrating smooth coordinated turns on a pre-planned flight path. The progression is designed to slowly wean you off the LZ instructor and complete the fourth flight path and landing approach on your own.
As you gain experience and achieve pilot certification as an iP2 Pilot, you will learn to fly instructor free. You will learn to soar dynamic wind and engage thermals to gain altitude and fly for hours, paragliding intimately with friends in the sky.
If you train and prepare extensively to become an iP3 Intermediate or iP4 Advanced ace pilot, you may gain a level of precision that empowers you to enter a whole new paradigm of flying...
