Slope Soaring - Paragliding - $227

Have you ever had the dream of being like superman: you outstretch your arms and start flying just above the ground? Well now you can!

This is something everyone can enjoy. We have had paragliding students from age 14 to 65 in this introductory half-day course.

At iParaglide we have trained over 1000 students in first flight paragliding courses over our 17 years of operation and take pride in keeping our pilots safe. This, among other core values, is what distinguishes us from other schools.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do and it is something that is created, not chanced upon. We achieve safety through persistence to some founding principles and a carefully selected and controlled environment.

Your first paragliding flights should be done in a safe and non-intimidating environment on grass training hills. You will gently take flight, skimming only a few feet off the ground.

You will learn to inflate the paraglider in the wind and guide it to get it overhead. Once the paraglider is flying, it floats above your head waiting: a giant ram-air kite. A few running steps down the hill gets you to take-off speed, and you are gently lifted off the ground to take flight.

Time seems to stand still as you soar and realize the ancient dream of flight...

At the base of the hill you will practice flaring the paraglider at the right moment, to slow it down and come in for a soft, controlled landing.

This is possibly the most fun you will ever have.

Launching, having a short paragliding flight, then a soft landing and you can walk back up the hill and fly all over again!

We train in groups pilots split into teams of 2, a pilot and "wingman", and have a reality TV type game where the teams compete for the most successful paragliding launches, flights and landings during the race. An absolute blast for the group and guaranteed "aha" smiles like only first paragliding flights can produce.

You will be taken back to that magical place where anything seems possible.

Mankind's oldest dream: the power of free flight has finally been realized with the paraglider!
