Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding weather. Low pressure brings cloudy mostly skies with 40-70% POP. Paragliding Vancouver: 3000ft winds aloft southeast to 35 km/hr easing to 20km/hr as the day progresses. Fraser valley winds east to 15 km/hr easing as the day progresses. Seattle Paragliding: 3000ft winds southwest to 32 km/hr easing to 27km/hr as the day progresses. Outflow and high POP makes paragliding not recommended today in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seatttle, Whistler or Pemberton.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding weather. High pressure with low to northwest brings mixed skies. Paragliding Vancouver: 3000ft winds aloft southeast to 17km/hr easing to light and variable as the day progress; valley winds east to 10 km/hr easing to light and variable in afternoon. Seattle Paragliding: 3000ft winds southeast to 13 km/hr through 22:00 with valley winds southeast to 15 km/hr. Outflow may be overpowered by anabatic conditions and seabreeze in late afternoon. A paragliding window is possible today in Bellingham and Chilliwack. 

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse rate -1.1C/1000ft: novice P2.  Wait for catabatic conditions and outflow to be overpowered by seabreeze.  Blanchard 12:00-16:00 P2 novice paraglider pilots. Chances 80/20.

2. Chilliwack paragliding: lapse rate -1.7C/1000ft: novice P2. Wait for catabatic conditions and outflow to be overpowered by seabreeze.  Woodside 14:00-16:00 for P2 novice paragliding. Chances 60/40.

Seattle Paragliding: 3000ft winds southeast to 19 km/hr through 22:00 with valley winds east to 24 km/hr. Outlfow means paragliding is not recommended today in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Seattle, Bellingham, Whistler or Pembmerton.

Paragliding Vancouver: 3000ft winds aloft southwest and increasing to 37 km/hr through 22:00, with fraser valley winds southwest to east to 25 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding: 3000ft winds southwest and increasing to 76 km/hr through 22:00 with valley winds south gusting to 65 km/hr, forecast for isolated thunderstorms.  Paragliding not recommended today in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler, Bellingham or Seattle areas.
