At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver. Weather forecast for paragldier pilots in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas , based on data available at 0500.

Low to W bringing passing fronts with mixed skies, to scattered showers, to heavy rain, to over development, to thunder showers throughout in Vancouver, Whistler, Pemberton, and Chilliwack.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft SSW to 20 km/hr. Valley wind early SW inflow to 15km/hr becoming gusty to 25 km/hr and up to 40 km/hr up valley near Hope. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.9C/1000ft.

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft SW and increasing to 17 km/hr. Valley wind lSW to 10 km/hr becoming gusty to 35 km/hr. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.9C/1000ft.

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

Paragliding not recommended in Vancouver, Whistler, Pemberton and Chilliwack today due to unstable conditions with 60-70% POP with scattered showers to heavy rain with potential over development to thunder showers. PILOTS ADVISORY: paragliding not recommended in these locations today.

Paragliding Bellingham: -2.9C/1000ft advanced peak lapse rate. Blanchard with low altitude summit and proximity to ocean should dampen effect of lapse rate considerably. Also not trapped in a valley, wicking and or socking in the clouds. Bellingham not calling for thunder showers and web cam showing clearer skies. Blanchard Mountain for P4 advanced pilots 1000-1900, watch for strong or possible over developing conditions after 1400. Chances to paraglide 50%.
