At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Weather: Aug 17

Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area weather forecast for paraglider pilots. Mixed skies due to transitioning pressure. Vancouver Paragliding - mostly cloudy skies, with valley flow light west and increasing to 10 km/hr, with winds aloft at 3000ft light and variable and becoming northwest to 20 km/hr. Seattle Paragliding - sunny skies with valley winds northwest to 15 km/hr with 3000 ft winds north to northwest to 15 km/hr.  

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Seattle Paragliding: -2.2C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Good day for Tiger for P2 pilots. P2 pilots 09:00-20:30. Chances to fly 90:10. 

2. Bellingham Paragliding: -2.0C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Blanchard should have a blue hole, P2 pilots 10:00-20:00. Paragliding chances 90:10.

3. Vancouver Paragliding: -2.0C/1000ft lapse rate: novice.  Grouse once summit clears cloud.  GMFT 11:00-20:30. 60:40 chances to paraglide. 

4. Chilliwack Paragliding: -2.2C/1000ft lapse rate: novice. Wait for summit to clear cloud and anabatic flow to establish. Lapse rate, if blue holes develop, expected to be higher than forecast.  P3 conditions 13:00-20:00. Bridal best due to northwest wind aloft. Odds for paragliding 50:50.  

5. Pemberton Paragliding: -2.4C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate.  Wait for cloud to lift.  Lapse rate, if blue holes develop, expected to be higher than forecast.  Mackenzie with P3 conditions 12:00-20:00.  40:60 paragliding odds.

6. Paragliding Whistler: -2.5C/1000ft lapse rate: intermediate.  Wait for cloud to lift.  Lapse rate, if blue holes develop, expected to be higher than forecast.  Blackcomb for Whistler flying team. 40:60 flying chances.
