Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather synopsis based on 08:00 forecasts. High pressure dominates with clear skies. Paragliding Vancouver: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as W at 13 km/hr to 14:00 and then becoming W at 24 km/hr to 23:00.  Valley winds forecast as SW to 10 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as N at 18 km/hr increasing to 26 km/hr through 22:00. Ground stations in Bellingham and Seattle calling for W and N winds, respectively, to 15 km/hr. Good day for paragliding.   

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -3.0C/1000ft: advanced.  P2 conditions early 08:00-12:00 and 18:00-21:00. P4 advanced paragliding conditions due to high lapse rate and strong west wind aloft 12:00-18:00. Chances 90/10.

2. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.7: advanced. Tiger mountain for P2 Novice paraglider pilots 08:00-12:00 and 18:00-21:00 with advanced paragliding 12:00-16:00. Chances 90/10.

3. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -2.2: novice. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots. Watch for west crosswind.  Chances 70/30.

4. Paragliding Whistler: lapse -2.6: intermediate.  Watch for mixed skies and strong west wind aloft. Whistler team advanced P4 paraglider pilots only. Chances 70/30.

5. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.4: intermediate.  Mixed skies today in Pemberton. Strong west wind aloft likely to amplify Whistler Express: due caution. Mackenzie for P3 intermediate paraglider pilots 09:00-20:00. Chances 60/40. 

6. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.6: intermediate. Watch for north wind potential leeside conditions.   Intermediate P3 paraglider pilots 09:00-20:00.  Chances 60/40.
