Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather synopsis based on 09:00 forecasts. High pressure dominates with clear skies. Paragliding Vancouver: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable to 14:00 and then becoming W at 19 km/hr to 23:00.  Valley winds forecast as SW to 10 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000 ft forecast as NW to 9 km/hr through 22:00. Ground stations in Bellingham and Seattle calling for W and N winds, respectively, to 15 km/hr. Good day for paragliding.     

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.8: advanced.  Good day for paragliding Pemberton. Mackenzie for P2 Novice paraglider pilots 09:00-11:00 and 18:00-20:00. Watch for P4 advanced paragliding 11:00 - 18:00. Chances 90/10. 

2. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -3.2C/1000ft: advanced.  P2 conditions early 08:00-12:00 and then increasing to P4 advanced paragliding conditions due to high lapse rate. Chances 90/10.

3. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.5: intermediate. Tiger mountain for P2 Novice paraglider pilots 08:00-13:00 and 17:00-21:00 with intermediate paragliding 13:00-17:00. Chances 90/10.

4. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -1.9C/1000ft: novice. P2 novice paragliding conditions at Blanchard 08:00-20:00.  Chances 90/10.

5. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -2.7: advanced. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots. Watch for west crosswind.  Chances 80/20.

6. Paragliding Whistler: lapse -2.9: advanced.  Whistler team advanced P4 paraglider pilots only. Chances 80/20.
