Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site paragliding weather, based on 08:00 forecasts. High pressure brings clearing skies. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft@3000ft light and variable through 16:00 with valley winds E to 10 km/hr. Seattle paragliding: winds aloft@3000ft NE to 16 km/hr through 19:00 with light N valley winds. OK day for paragliding. 

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.4C/1000ft: intermediate. P2 novice paragliding 10:00-18:00. Chances 80/20. 

2. Paragliding Whistler: lapse -2.5: intermediate. Whistler team advanced P4 paraglider pilots only. Chances 80/20.

3. Paragliding Vancouver: lapse -2.5: intermediate. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots. Chances 80/20.

4. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.1: novice. Novice paragliding 11:00-18:00. Chances 70/30.  

5. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -1.9: novice. Blanchard: Novice paraglider pilots 10:00-18:00. Watch for north wind and possible leeside.  Chances 70/30.

6. Chilliwack Paragliding: lapse -2.7: advanced. P3 intermediate paragliding 13:00-18:00, watch for E valley winds and possible leeside conditions and outflow. Chances 50/50.
