Paragliding Weather Forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area, based on data available at 0700.

Low pressure with showers, and jet stream near overhead, increasing instability and yielding windy conditions mid to late afternoon.

Conditions to south in Seattle are better with no jet stream influence and sunnier skies.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable. Valley wind early W inflow to 10 km/hr increasing to 20-30 km/hr and gusting late in the day. Intermediate peak lapse rate -2.4C/1000ft.

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable. Valley winds SW to 10 km/hr. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.7C/1000ft.

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Seattle: -2.7C/1000ft Novice peak lapse rate. Tiger with P2 conditions 0900-1400 and 1800-2000 with P4 advanced conditions at peak 1400-1800. Chances for paragliding 80%.

Paragliding is not recommended in Bellingham today as sea-breeze is forecast to hit hard.

Paragliding is not recommended in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Whistler or Pemberton today due to 30-50% POP, summits in cloud, and jet stream overhead yielding blown out conditions by early to mid afternoon.
