Paragliding Weather Forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area, based on data available at 0500.

Transitioning pressure bringing instability 20-30% POP with possibility of thunder showers in select areas.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable all day. Valley wind light and variable becoming W inflow to 10 km/hr. Novice peak lapse rate -1.0C/1000ft.

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft N at 26 km/hr and increasing to 31 km/hr. Valley winds light and variable becoming NW to 10 km/hr. Novice peak lapse rate -1.4C/1000ft.

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Pemberton: -2.7 C/1000ft Advanced peak lapse rate. Watch for clouds and potential for over development in the afternoon. Mackenzie for P2 pilots 0900-1200 then watch for P4 advanced conditions 1200-2000. Prospects for paragliding 70% early, 50% late.

2. Paragliding Whistler: -2.7 C/1000ft Advanced peak lapse rate. Strong a day in Whistler, with potential for over development. Whistler team pilots 0900-1900. Paragliding chances 70% early, 50% late.

Paragliding is not recommended today in Vancouver and Chilliwack due to 30% POP and risk of thunderstorm.

Paragliding is not recommended in Seattle and Bellingham today due to strong 30 km/hr North wind aloft.
