Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Squamish, Whistler & Pemberton area paragliding weather forecast, based on data available at 0500.

High pressure arrival brings early clearing and progressively sunnier skies and seabreeze establishing through the day.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable. Valley wind outflow NE to 10 km/hr in morning with W seabreeze establishing to 15km/hr. Advanced peak lapse rate -3.1C/1000ft.

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft NNE 13 km/hr and becoming NE to 20 km/hr. Valley winds light and variable becoming NW to 15 km/hr. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.8C/1000ft.

1. Chilliwack Paragliding: -3.3C/1000ft advanced to XXX peak lapse rate. Wait for early Katabic and outflow E wind to subside. Then watch for very strong spring conditions! Woodside for Advanced P4 pilots 1100-1800. Bridal for Advanced P4 pilots 1300-1800. 80% paragliding chances, experts only.

2. Pemberton Paragliding : -2.9C/1000ft advanced peak lapse rate. Then watch for very strong spring conditions! Upper Mackenzie 1200-1800 Advanced to XXX pilots only. Paragliding prospects 70%, experts only.

3. Vancouver Paragliding: -3.1C/1000ft advanced peak lapse rate. Watch for very strong spring conditions! Grouse Mountain for GMFT P4 advanced paragliding pilots 1000-2000. Paragliding chances 80%.

4. Bellingham Paragliding: -2.8C/1000ft Advanced peak lapse rate. Blanchard for P2 paraglider pilots 0800-1200 then watch for increasing advanced P4 conditions 1200-1600 back down to P2 conditions 1700-1900. 80% paragliding prospects.

5. Seattle Paragliding: -2.8C/1000ft advanced peak lapse rate. Watch for strong spring conditions. Tiger for P2 pilots 0800-1100 with increasing N wind aloft and rough conditions and advanced lapse rate thereafter. Advanced P4 pilots 1200-1800. 70% chances to paraglide.

6. Whistler Paragliding: -3.5C/1000ft XXX peak lapse rate. Watch for extreme lapse rate! Whistler Team P4 Advanced pilots 0800-1000 (1100-1600 likely too strong) 1700-1900. Chances to paraglide 30%, for XXX pilots only! And only if actual lapse rate is lower than forecast lapse rate!
