At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

Paragliding Weather forecast for Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas, based on data available at 0700.

Low pressure brings mostly cloudy skies and 30% POP to Vancouver, Chilliwack, Pemberton and Whistler. Jet stream is proximate to being overhead, leading to unstable conditions and unpredictable winds mid-day to late afternoon.

Seattle and Bellingham south of low with mostly sunny skies.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable. Valley flow E outflow to 10 km/hr becoming west inflow to 5 km/hr by mid day. Intermediate peak lapse rate -2.4C/1000ft.

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft SW to 9 km/hr becoming NNW to 15 km/hr mid-day. Valley winds winds light and variable becoming S to 10 km/hr. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.8C/1000ft.

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Seattle: -2.8C/1000ft advacned peak lapse rate. Wait for Tiger summit to clear from early clouds. Tiger for P4 advanced pilots 1200 - 2000. Chances to fly 80%.

2. Paragliding Bellingham: -2.4C/1000ft intermediate peak lapse rate. Blanchard for P2 pilots 0900-1400 and 1700-2000 with P3 conditions 1400-1700. Paragliding prospects 80%.

Paragliding is not recommended in Chilliwack, Pemberton, Whistler or Vancouver today due to 30% POP, cloud cover and proximity of jet-stream.
