Weather forecast for paraglider pilots in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton areas, based on data available at 0500.

Showers easing as day progresses becoming mixed skies late in Vancouver, Chilliwack and Pemberton valleys.

Early clearing to sunny skies in Bellingham and Seattle, as we transition to high pressure.

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable. Valley winds E to 15 km/hr becoming W to 10 km/hr late in the day. Advanced peak lapse rate -2.8C/1000ft.

SEA 3000 ft winds light and variable becoming N to 22 km/hr. Valley winds S to 14 km/hr. Intermediate peak lapse rate -2.4C/1000ft.

1. Bellingham paragliding: Novice Peak Lapse Rate -2.3C/1000 ft. Blanchard should be on today. Blanchard for P2 pilots 0900-1800. Chances for paragliding 90%.

2. Seattle paragliding: Intermediate Peak Lapse Rate -2.4C/1000 ft. Tiger Mountain for P2 pilots 0900-1300 and 1700-2100, with P3 conditions 1300-1700. 80% Paragliding prospects.

Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers till mid afternoon and not clearing to mixed skies until late makes paragliding not recommended in Chilliwack, Whistler, Vancouver and Pemberton sites today.
