Top Gun Flight School

At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather synopsis, based on 04:00 forecasts. High pressure with mostly clear skies; possible change late in the day. Paragliding Vancouver - 3000ft winds aloft SW to 11km/hr increasing to 19 km/hr through 22:00. Fraser Valley winds SW to 20 km/hr. Paragliding Seattle - 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable to 16:00, then south to 18 km/hr.  Ground stations in Bellingham and Seattle calling for 10 km/hr SW and W winds, respectively.  Good day for paragliding early; south wind and possible early front arrival late.   

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Chilliwack Paragliding: lapse -2.0C/1000ft: novice. P2 novice paragliding 08:00-13:00. Intermediate paragliding conditions 13:00-17:00. Watch for increasing south wind late in the day. Chances 80/20 early 50/50 late. 

2. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -1.4: novice. Novice paraglider pilots 09:00-16:00. Watch for increasing south wind. Chances 80/20.

3. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -1.7: novice. Novice paraglider pilots 09:00-13:00 with intermediate paragliding 13:00-17:00.  Watch for increasing south wind. Paragliding chances 70/30. 

4. Paragliding Vancouver: lapse -1.5: novice. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots. Chances 80/20 early, 50/50 late.

5. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.0: novice. P2 novice paragliding 08:00-11:00 then watch for Whistle Express and intermediate paragliding 13:00-17:00. Chances 70/30 early, 30/70 late.

4. Paragliding Whistler: lapse -2.2: novice. Watch for south wind. Whistler team advanced P4 paraglider pilots only. Chances 60/40.
