At iParaglide Top Gun Flight School, we take pride in having taught over 2,000 paragliding students in our 27 years of operation.

 

We are the longest running school based in Metro Vancouver. Due to our central location, we are the only school that flies all of the relevant kiting parks, training hills and mountains within a 3 hour radius of Vancouver.  This empowers pilots to get to know the key training and flying spots early, optimizes and accelerates learning, and allows them to grow into great future pilots.  

We have the reputation of being an industry leader with an emphasis on engineered safety systems, quality instruction, the finest equipment and creating a positive learning environment for fun and empowering flying.

We offer the highest level of accreditation, with Senior HPAC and Advanced USHPA paragliding instructors, who coach from first flight to expert paraglider pilots and teach and qualify new paragliding instructors.

IParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather May.23/11

iParaglide Right Site Paragliding Weather synopsis based on 05:00 forecasts.  Low pressure dissipating yeilding partially clearing skies. Vancouver paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast to 22:00 as light and variable. Fraser valley winds forecast as west to 5 km/hr.  Seattle paragliding: winds aloft at 3000ft forecast as light and variable through 16:00. Ground stations in Bellingham & Seattle calling for SW and NW winds to 10 km/hr. Marginal paragliding day in select spots and select times.  

iParaglide Right Site Ranking:

1. Paragliding Bellingham: lapse -2.5 C/1000ft: intermediate. Blanchard is great for a blue hole when its socked in elsewhere. Likely P2 novice paragliding 08:00-12:00 and 17:00-20:00 with P3 conditions at peak 12:00-17:00. Blanchard gate is locked and requires hike in. Chances 70/30. 

2. Paragliding Vancouver: Lapse -2.8: advanced. If the summit doesn't OD overtop, should be great. Grouse Mountain Flying Team only, advanced P4 paraglider pilots. Chances 60/40.

3. Paragliding Seattle: lapse -2.8: advanced. Tiger mountain for P2 Novice paragliding 08:00-11:00 and 18:00-20:00 with intermediate P3 paragliding 11:00-17:00. Chances 50/50.

4. Paragliding Whistler: lapse -2.5: intermediate. Should be good if clouds open up. Whistler Paragliding team Advanced P4 members only.   Chances 50/50.

5. Paragliding Pemberton: lapse -2.5: P2 Novice paragliding 08:00-11:00 and 18:00-20:00 with intermediate P3 paragliding 11:00-17:00. Road is finally drivable without snow. Mixed sun/cloud may shut it down. Paraglide at Mackenzie. Chances 40/60.

6. Paragliding Chilliwack: lapse -2.7: advanced.  Woodside or Bridal if cloud base lifts and rain ends after 13:00 for P4 advanced paragliding conditions 13:00-17:00.  Chances 30/70.
