E: Concertina Paraglider Bag: ICARO

Concertina Bag Purchase Inquiry

ICARO has released an innovative concertina paraglider packing bag.

The "concertina" method of folding a paraglider for transport or storage goes a step beyond the accordion method.   The mylar leading edge reinforcements of each cell are stacked flat on on top of the other, like a deck of cards, preventing creasing to the critical leading edge of your paraglider.  The leading edge is most vital for your paraglider's ease of inflation,  launch and speed-bar performance.

Concertina folding has the following advantages over traditional methods:

  • it can be done solo
  • it can be done in windy conditions
  • it can be done more quickly than traditional methods
  • it will improve performance, longevity and resale value of the paraglider
  • pack volume is the same as other methods; allows keeping the risers attached

ICARO's innovative concertina paraglider packing bag is made of light paraglider material that suits all solo paragliders.  The ICARO concertina bag features:

  • Velcro-pocket to secure the mylar cell leading edge
  • Riser pocket for storing the risers
  • Compression belt for securing the glider
  • Lengthwise zipper
  • Cinch cord at the top and bottom
  • Velcro securing strap on exterior to secure folded assembly
  • Large logo print, color red & black
  • Size: 2800 cm x 55 cm

G: Leg Cocoon: ICARO Harness Add-on

Leg cocoon Purchase Inquiry

The ICARO paragliding cocoon leg cover add-on is designed so that it can be mounted to all ICARO paraglider harnesses quickly and easy.  It is light weight at only 1.1 kg and removes as easily, with a compact pack volume.

The advantage of this paragliding leg cover is that it not only improves the aerodynamic properties by reducing the wind drag of the pilot, but also that it protects from cold and moisture especially, in the cold season, or on long flights, with the comfort of a warming leg cover. Features:

  • made of warm and light-weight material
  • slender outline elongated aerodynamically
  • can be assembled with little effort
  • the wide opening at the front enables an easy paragliding launch
  • a sophisticated closure-system closes the leg cover during the flight elegantly and opens independently when pulling up the legs during a paragliding landing.
  • super light-weight at only 1.1 kg
  • small pack volume.

Equipment with legs stretched: optimal aerodynamic shape combined with wind and cold isolation for the best comfort while flying paragliding cross country and high altitude flights.
