other possible unbiased opinions

You may also want to check out the following web site, which will give you tons of opinions on many different wings.  Take it all with a big grain of salt, but it's still valuable info.

http://www.bigairparagliding.com

You'll need to go to this site, then click "Forums" at the top, then select "Paragliding".  You'll figure it out from there.  The forum is searchable as well.

For what it's worth, I fly an Apco Presta, and overall am very happy with it.  Its performance numbers are excellent, with great glide, and lots of speed.  If I had to change anything about it, I'd dial up the responsiveness a little, and have it turn a little better.  However, that's an "Apco thing", and as I said, I'm very happy with the wing.  It's incredibly stable, and I've been in some pretty ratty air.  The wing really likes to stay fully inflated, as opposed to tucking or frontalling in rough air.  I feel very safe on the glider, and when I need the speed, I have no problems jumping on the bar.  The speed is there.

I agree with Ojan.  Go and fly as many different gliders as you can before committing to any one glider.  It's not about the numbers, and in the end, it's only *your* opinion that counts.

Good luck in your search,

Robin
