Weather Sites Sat. July 12

Message:

Low pressure offshore combined with jetstream overhead brings increasing cloudiness, high instability, unflyable south winds and risk of thundershower late in the day.

Surface winds SSW@<20km/hr (intermediate).
Winds aloft@3000ft@170D@30km/hr (SSE, advanced).
Winds aloft@6000ft@190D@40km/hr (SSW, unflyable).
Jet stream over Vancouver, Pemberton, Chilliwack, Seattle airspace.

Lapse rate@3.5D/1000ft (ballistic!)

Recommendation: Bridal Falls in strong leeside conditions, please don't risk flying there. Generally a bad idea to fly with powerful low pressure compounded wiht jetstream overhead. Watch for rapidly switching and accelerating winds, overdevelopment etc.
