Hey Chris!
I beleive the first step you should take would be to go for a tandem flight.
That's how I started and got hooked! You need to find out if this is exactly what
you want and if you are comfortable being in the air or not. Looking up at pilots
flying their gliders seems like a dream, but when you are actually up there, it is
even better! After you have done the tandem you will have a basic idea of how it
works and flies, if you are still firm on your decision to take the course then you
will have to search for a instructor and take your novice license. I just got my
novice last month with iparaglide. Went on a tour with the school and had the best
of times. I have my own equipment now and I absolutely love it. And I know that flying
is a skill that will follow me for the rest of my life!! Any time or money put into
it is totally worth it! If you have any specific question on how my course went and
my learning experience you can email me at L_WU76@hotmail.com, will be more than
glad to help ya!
Blue Sky,
Linda
